Economic Development CorporationThe Economic Development Corporation is a nonprofit organization formed by action of the City Council as sanctioned by the voters in the November, 2008 election. The Corporation receives 1/4 % sales tax from the City of Olmos Park for economic development and maintenance for business enterprises as approved by the Council. EDC PROJECTS: The EDC has recently created three grant programs to assist businesses on McCullough with improvements to the areas on and around their properties consistent with the McCullough Beautification Plan. The purpose of these grant programs are to promote a positive city image reflecting order, harmony, connectivity and pride, thereby strengthening the economic stability in Olmos Park's Commercial Corridor along McCullough Avenue.
